GET FUNDED: xTechBOLT Competition with $1 Million Prize

DOD XTECH BOLT $1 MILLION INNOVATION COMPETITION

 

The xTechBOLT competition is focused on Brain Operant Learning Technologies (BOLT). Sponsored by the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) the prize competition features a $1 million prize pool!  xTechBOLT is currently open and accepting Concept White Paper submissions now until September 15, 2020 from all U.S. based entities.

CHALLENGE GOALS:  xTechBOLT aims to understand the effects of emotion and empathy on learning and memory and the functional roles played by various brain regions and their mutual interactions in relation to emotional and empathetic processing and effect on both implicit and explicit learning.

 xTechBOLT consist of three different stages that competitors can progress through which include:

  • Concept White Paper– up to 10 businesses selected to move on with a $10,000 prize;
  • Semifinals: Technology Pitches– up to 5 businesses selected to move with a $25,000 prize;
  • Finals: Proof-of-Concept Demonstration– up to 5 businesses selected with the first place winner receiving $500,000. 

WHITE PAPER SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE SEPTEMBER 15, 2020
